Last 17th of May, I had the pleasure of guiding a lovely Australian family, two adults and their adorable 2-year-old baby, on a breathtaking journey from Hotel Cafe Aroma in Kandy to Hotel Moi Ella in Ella. We began our journey early in the morning from Kandy, a city rich in history and culture. After a quick meet-and-greet, we loaded up the spacious DBI taxi (perfect for families with luggage and a baby seat) and set off toward Ella.

Next, we stopped at the majestic Ramboda Falls, one of Sri Lanka’s tallest waterfalls. The sight of water cascading down the rocks was mesmerizing. Nearby, we also visited the Ramboda Tunnel, a historic spot with a fascinating backstory. The little one was especially fascinated by the rushing water!

6. Final Destination: Hotel Moi Ella, Ella
After a day filled with adventure, we arrived at Hotel Moi Ella, where the family checked in comfortably. Ella’s cool climate and scenic beauty were the perfect way to end the journey.
